Bepanthen® Ointment
Bepanthen® Ointment
The Bepanthen® range for the whole family has been specially developed to nourish and regenerate very dry, irritated, reddened, or cracked skin. It helps heal the skin from within.
Overview
Bepanthen® ointment is a translucent and breathable product that is easy to apply and remove from the skin. It helps the skin stay healthy by allowing it to breathe. Bepanthen® contains provitamin B5, which accelerates the skin's natural regeneration and thus gently cares for and strengthens the skin's protective layer. Provitamin B5 is also known as dexpanthenol, a precursor to vitamin B5 needed for healthy skin. Dexpanthenol is ideal for repairing skin damage because it:
- moisturizes the skin, giving it nutrients and protection,
- promotes the production of lipids in the skin,
- accelerates the formation of new and healthy skin tissue.
Bepanthen® has been developed for sensitive skin and does not contain preservatives, dyes, or fragrances.
- Thanks to the provitamin B5, Bepanthen® gently promotes the skin's natural regeneration while keeping it soft and smooth. It also helps maintain the skin's natural moisture.
- Bepanthen® forms a long-lasting, translucent, breathable layer that protects even the most sensitive skin from stimuli and water. The water-in-oil composition keeps the skin healthy and moisturized to maintain its natural protective layer.

Promotes the formation and functioning of epithelial tissues. Dexpanthenol exerts the same action as pantothenic acid, to which it is converted in the body. The alcohol nevertheless has the advantage of better absorption, a particularly useful property in the case of local application. A factor of the vitamin B complex, pantothenic acid is required by the body for the synthesis of co-enzyme A. This co-enzyme plays an important part in the intermediary metabolism, and above all in synthetic processes. It activates the otherwise torpid acetic acid and this contributes to the formation of fatty acids, cholesterol, citric acid and acetylcholine. It further promotes the acetylation of exogenous substances and thus the process of detoxification.
